Sunday, October 26th, our Alpha Nu chapter had the honor of initiating 57 young women into our sisterhood. They are a wonderful group of new members and we are so thrilled that they are now officially members of Tri Delta.

Every year, Tri Delta nationally dedicates a week to preventing "Fat Talk". This week is to remind people of self worth, self confidence, and self acceptance. It not only helps our members, but it reaches out to the community as well as we work to end the obsession with perfection. Lacey Terry, our Risk Management chair, did a wonderful job of planning this important event.
We had tables set up in Cougar Mall where we invited students and faculty to write something about themselves that they loved- as a small reminder of how there are so many things about yourself to be proud of. On Tuesday, we were so happy to have Ellie Boland come speak to our chapter. This is the third Fat Talk Free week that Ellie has spoken to us, and we were so happy to have her again. She always gives the best advice and treated our members a yoga session and meditation session with at Lululemon on King Street. Tri Delta sister Veronica Ingham, a member of Panhallenic Council, also put on an event for all of Panhallenic sororities this week. She brought in Ross Szabo, an inspirational speaker, to talk about alcohol abuse and mental health. We are so thankful that Tri Delta understands the meaning of self acceptance and the negative effects of Fat Talk. Our chapter is glad that we are able to reach out and not only help our sisters, but our community as well. For more information on Fat Talk Free Week, please click here! Following big/little reveal, we recently had out annual date event Sister Mister! Thank you Trio for hosting one of the best events of the year- we had such a good time
After a months of planning and long week of recruitment, our Alpha Nu chapter had the privilege of welcoming 58 new Tri Delta's to our home! We are so happy to have so many awesome young women join our chapter and so thankful to our members for such an awesome week of recruitment!
It's finally here! Over the next week we will have the privilege of meeting around 700 wonderful women and add an awesome new pledge class to our chapter! We can not wait to meet everyone and we hope our fellow CofC chapters and PNM's have a great week.
It has been a wonderful school year in Charleston and at Tri Delta. From bid day, to toga mixer, to Saddle Up for St Jude, Derby Days, formal, and more.... we have had a great school year together and look forward to more. We hope to see our chapter grow in August and are so excited to meet tons of new girls during recruitment. Until then... have an awesome summer!
What a year it's been here in Charleston! The spring semester is coming to a close and on April 17th, we had our annual event Oyster Roast. This is a tradition here at Tri Delt as our final social event of the year and a senior sendoff. Oyster Roast is a date event with great food, music, and a friendly "roast" of our graduating sisters at the end. We want to thank Taboulis for hosting us for the second year in a row!
We are going to miss our seniors so so much and so happy we could wrap the year up with such a fun event. This year, there have been so many of our sisters with the amazing opportunity to continue their studies in different countries in the Fall and Spring semesters. We are so excited to have the girls abroad in the Fall back in Charleston and we miss the ones abroad this Spring!
